Dallas Morning News: “Statewide survey shows broad support for payday lending reform”

Excerpt: The payday and auto title loan industry are supported by a strong lobby in Austin that helps prevent stiffer regulation of practices that leaders across the state have called predatory. The city of Dallas, led by council member Jerry Allen, finally joined other North Texas cities last year in passing zoning regulations in an attempt to limit the number of payday loans shops.
