Dallas Morning News: Pay day lending bill hopes for revival

Key lawmakers, with time running out in the session, are pushing for a compromise bill that would put some limits on pay day loans, which have rates that can balloon to 1,000 percent annually.
The latest proposal reverts to what Sen. John Carona, R-Dallas, proposed last month on the Senate floor, before the bill was loaded with pro-consumer amendments aimed at clipping the wings of the lending industry. Read more here.
